Using the local fixed infrared camera to gather picture information of the molten steel pouring out from the BOF tap. With digital filtering, analysis and calculating,the system emits alarm signal to remind the worker of driving up the BOF or stopping pouring molten steel when it de- tected slag. The tap of converter can also be clogged by a pneumatic slag control mechanism. This system can effectively improve the steel yield and reduce the labor intensity of workers.
