Product Introduction

The conductivities of liquid steel and slag are different between  each  other.  One  electromagnetic  induction coil is installed round the ladle shroud to detect the slag when the ladle is drained. Once the slag is detected, the slide gate under the ladle should be closed automati- cally or manually. With this system, the slag pouring into the tundish could be minimized and the quality of the steel could be improved. Then, the clogging of the SEN could be reduced and the eroding of refractory could be avoided as well.
